Horseback Riding at Alisal Guest Ranch - Solvang - Santa Ynez Valley - Santa Barbara - California


Just a perfect day of horseback riding at the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort.  The Alisal is a fantastic guest ranch that offers a little of everything in the outdoors.  The staff is very knowledgable and kind, which makes for a perfect day of horseback riding, or golfing, or fishing, or swimming.

The Guest Ranch is located a few minutes from Solvang.

On Wednesdays during the summer the Alisal has a rodeo.  The rodeo allows participation from there guests to sign up and join in.  The rodeo is followed by a fabulous outdoor BBQ.

If you are able to visit the Ranch, you too will fall under the Alisal charm.

Canada! Oh Canada! Niagara Falls - Epic!!!

OMG!!  Niagara Falls is amazing!!  It was awe-inspiring.  There aren't enough words to describe how wonderfully beautiful it is.  I took many many photos but the one posted here is from the window table at the restaurant second level.  Magical.  Canadians are so proud of there falls, and rightly so.  I'm going to try to post a 12 sec video, so I hope it works. If given the opportunity to see this wondrous sight - do it. We were staying in Toronto downtown area, in late December.  Fairmont Royal York Hotel - Loved it. This is a photo of the hotel when we checked in at 11:00 pm.  Helpful hint they have room service at that hour.  Yay!! The hotel is located across the street from the train station and a few blocks from the CN tower. To get to Niagara Falls, we hiked up to the bus terminal and took a megabus to the falls.  It was reasonably priced. We thought this was cute.  Hiking up to bus terminal, here is an early morning photo of an ice rink.
